Co-Directors
Nina Migliari
Nina has Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Language and Literature (Portuguese and English) from Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie (UPM) in São Paulo, Brazil. While obtaining her Master’s degree, Nina attended classes at the University of São Paulo (USP) as a Visiting Student for two semesters. With over ten years of experience in the publishing market, she has supported scientific and academic communities in achieving success through translation, copy editing, and consulting for journal publications in various fields of study. She is a Research Assistant for the Institute of Equity and Transformational Change (IETC) and a Writing Tutor at the Writing Center of Madison College in Madison, WI. Nina is also a member of the Editorial Freelancers Association (EFA).
Andy Benson
Andy has a Bachelor’s in Biology and Environmental Sciences from Edgewood College (Madison, WI, USA). He has experience in Ecology, Sustainability, Horticulture, and Organic Agriculture. He has been working with the publishing market for over six years. He has experience proofreading, copy editing, and transcribing English-language texts for academic and scientific publications and other communication vehicles such as website content, publicity, and documents of various forms. Andy also offers technical review and consulting services for Biology, Ecology, and Sustainability. He is currently working on pursuing his Master's degree in sustainability and water use for agricultural purposes, with the aim of contributing to food security.

Cristiane Garcia
Cris is a Master’s degree student in Estudios Hispánicos at Universidad de Cádiz, Spain. She also has two Bachelor’s degrees in Translation (Portuguese and English) from the Methodist University of São Paulo and in Language and Literature (Portuguese and Spanish) from the University of São Paulo (USP). Cris has more than seven years of experience working in the publishing market in the most diverse types of materials, from newspapers, magazines, academic papers, fiction and non-fiction books, and teaching materials, going through all stages of production.

Maria Luiza Rodrigues
Maria Luiza has a Bachelor’s degree in Design from the Federal Technological University of Paraná (UTFPR). She has developed graphic projects for publishing houses, such as creating book covers and designs, and also for different departments of Curitiba City Hall, creating visual identity and graphic pieces for communication, flyers, posters, and other types of communication. Maria Luiza is responsible for all the visual identity and graphic design for Bardo Editorial and plays a key role in running the business. Julia G. Moura
Julia is a student in the Letters program at the University of São Paulo (USP), enrolled in the Portuguese and Chinese curricula. She has the highest-level qualification in English proficiency from Cambridge (C2 level) and has been studying Chinese for over two years. She became the first intern at Bardo in April 2024, and we are very fortunate to have her. Julia's interests and dedication to learning about the publishing field are impressive, and she is currently investing in pursuing extra skills in translations (Portuguese and English) and Sports copy editing.
