Our Story
Bardo Editorial is made up of a small team that is always on hand to assist you. We operate from the United States and Brazil, and our team of professional translators, copy editors, and designers has a wide range of experience and specialization.
“Bardo” is the term used in Tibetan Buddhism to represent the intermediate state between the end of life and rebirth. Bardo Editorial was born with this concept as its basis, and we aim to provide a form of rebirth experience in our clients’ work.
Represented by this idea, the various forms of the services we provide—copy editing, proofreading, translation, and design—go through a stage of transformation, always targeted at improving the communication between the text and its readers and enhancing the knowledge transmitted by its author.
Founded in 2017 by Nina Migliari in São Paulo, Brazil, Bardo Editorial also went through its own transition and gained a new face in 2022. We expanded our translation and editing services to include other languages (on demand, such as Chinese, French, and European Portuguese) in addition to English (United States, Canada, and the UK), Spanish (Central America, Latin America, and Spain), and Brazilian Portuguese. We started operating in the United States in 2023 by welcoming Andy Benson as Co-Director.
Our small team of professional translators, copy editors, and designers has a wide range of experience and specialization in many areas, such as scientific and academic, fiction and non-fiction, documents, and websites. The Bardo Team counts on native and bilingual speakers and professionals with years of experience abroad.
